Indications for Master thesis
The academic committee of the master has approved the ASSESSMENT
CRITERIA for the evaluation of the master thesis.
Master thesis must include at least a critical
and comprehensive review of the literature and a research proposal to answer to
a specific research question. To obtain a better mark, master thesis must also
include an original contribution of the candidate to answer a specific research
question like theoretical or empirical contribution, qualitative and/or qualitative
analysis, field data collection, etc.
The document provides details of the
competencies to be evaluated by the evaluation committee and an example for
each competencies of the marks that could be obtained according to the
achievement level reached by the student.
The Committee will submit a
report for each student with a grade agreed by the whole commission that will
result from the average of the grades issued by the three evaluators. The Committee may propose in a motivated
separate act a distinction for a Master Thesis that have obtained the highest
score.
In order to deposit the Master thesis, the student must have approved 70% of the
credits they enrolled (BEFORE the deposit’s time). All Master Thesis will be written and presented in English language. The format or template
to present the Master thesis is now available at the Master’s webpage.
Supervisors are required to check the degree
of plagiarism by Ephorus TURNITIN application and to indicate the results in
the report that allows the master thesis defense.
Viva dates are July 15th for the
first call and September 21th for the second call.
Students may deliver all the documentation (see guidelines) at least 15 days before the date set for the viva
(deadline July 5th for the first call).
Before each call, students will be informed about the specific hour and
place for the viva by email.
