SEMINAR: José Javier Domínguez Ramírez Departamento de Teoría e Historia Económica, Universidad de Granada Economistas sin Fronteras 

José Javier Domínguez is a PhD student of Economic Analysis Area at University of Granada and ex-alumni of Master in Economics 2013/2014. His research involves the study of discriminatory behaviors based on prejudices and stereotypes on educational environments through an experimental methodology. His first investigation is framed on his master thesis that was selected with a third prize of the international contest New Economic Talent 2015. He belongs to research area of Economists without Borders Foundation through which is developed the project that present in the seminar and that is funded by Agencia Andaluza de Cooperación Internacional al Desarrollo.

The project that presents has the main goal on the study of discriminatory attitudes on educational environments. Based on an experimental methodology, it is tried to extract the main economic preferences such as altruism, selfishness or egalitarianism. However, the goal of this research is not only the determination of the distribution of the preferences but check if economic behavior differs when people are interacting with other-cultural people showing the existence of prejudices and stereotypes and its impact on economic behavior.
