Seminar: Hana Skalska


Full time professor at the Deparment of Informatics and Quantitative Methods University of Hradec Kralove, formerly (1997 – 2012) head of department. Besides educating students she is devoted to building effective support tools for teaching and learning statistics (design and building e-courses). She is interested in predictive analytics and visualisation methods, statistical and data mining software (IBM SPSS Statistics, IBM SPSS Modeler, R language), and the role of knowledge of statistics in integrated analytics solutions.

Hana Skalska holds a RNDr. degree of Probability and Statistics from Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University Prague, associate professor in Statistics from University of Economics Prague, and professor in Information and Knowledge Management from Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Kralove.

As an instructor, she teaches courses “Applied Statistics” and “Statistical Models and Data” to master degree students in Information Management and Applied Informatics. She teaches courses in “Advanced Statistical Methods” and “Statistical and Mathematical Methods in Decision Support” to doctoral students in Information and Knowledge Management.

Hana Skalska will be tomorrow at 12.30h in room D-011 at Faculty Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales from University of Granada, as part of the seminars that Masters in Economics are organizing for all its students and for other students who have interest in these subjects.
